Home Depot paint colours

Does anyone know if paint colours at Home Depot NOB would be the same as the colours at Home Depot here?
I tried to post this on the other Board but you can't post there now.

Hey cypress, you have to be logged in to post on both of these boards

TOB is broken, cypress. It will probably be up and running in a few hours to a few days. TOB is acting really weird and even when I am signed in, I can not post. All I can do is read the old posts and notice that no new posts have been made there as of now for 7 hours.

Most people find a colour they like and keep the sample, then take it to the paint store (where ever) and have it matched. They do have machines that do this now. There are likely differences in suppliers, paint base quality, etc. Like lots of things, what's available NOB may or may not be available here.

Yes but owners of the house I'm having painted live in Oregon and they want a certain Home Depot Oregon colour. I wonder if it will be the same colour as the Zapopan Home Depot. No sample. So we have to try for a certain colour in the same brand of paint at both Home Depots.

Do they have leftover paint in Oregon that has the color codes on the top of the can. The coding might be enough for Home depot to match as long as you can get the same base. OR if they could take a paint chip to the Oregon Home depot, run it thru their color match machine and then give you the codes to take GDL Home depot.

But the color will never look the same here in this sunlight versus what it looks like in Oregon daylight.

I took in the information from a previous paint job to the man who runs the matching machine at Sherwin-Williams. (Same brand of paint) The paint job on another wall was a deep burgundy. When the new paint was applied to different wall, it came out a screaming magenta. Hoping it would be darker, they painted a second coat. Same problem. So much for the color matching machine.
I'm getting used to it. Magenta is good. Cheery. Or something.

Thanks for the suggestions but they have never used the colour they want-here or in Oregon. It is a colour in their heads I think. They think that with the colour code from Oregon's Home Depot I can get the same here. I suspect they won't get exactly what they want but it will be much more suitable than the present colours they have here.
