Home Depot
We found our way to Costco in Guad via Joco--is there a Home Depot in the same area? If there is, directions from Costco to Home Depot would be appreciated.

Just stay on the same road and pass under the Periférico. Get into the right lateral and Home Depot is on the right. Can't miss it.

Re: Home Depot
The Home Depot is OK for what's in Mexico, but don't expect it to be the same as the Home Depot's you'll see in the US and many prices will be higher.

Yes and, for example, they have a much better selection and lower prices for plumbing parts at the Casa Plomero in Ajijic. We went once and were not impressed with that particular store. As I understand it, it was actually bought out from another company and turned into a Home Depot and it is smaller and less well supplied than the other one in town.

I have been to the Home Depot many times, and while they do not have the selection of a Home Depoty NOB, they do have a good plumbing, kitchen, paint, tool, ect dept. Methinks John and the the Catman protest to much re things Mexican.

Re: Home Depot
Uh Marty, did you miss my pointing out that our local merchant has a much better supply of plumbing stuff at a better price than this HD?
A friend who has lived here much longer than me once said that we have HD, it is just stretched out between Chapala and Joco along the carretera. Methinks he is not far off with that observation.
And they are probably all 100 percent Mexican owned unlike HD of Mexico.
Anyway, as a very frequent and long term customer of HD NOB, including our most recent trip, I concur with John's observation. Don't go in the one in GDL expected your typical, very well equipped NOB HD, and you won't be disappointed. But you might want to try finding it locally first.
And I'm also told that the other HD, which is not far from Andares Mall, is better stocked. So you might want to combine a trip to the mall with a stop at this larger HD.
