Los Altos also. It seems like I paid 8.5 3 months ago. Pretty steady increase this year.

Re: Propane
I call the driver directly at 331 387 2074. I usually tip them some lunch money too if they come quickly (which they always seem to do now...jaja).

I tried that number today, Bob, they said they couldn't do it but would refer me to their other friend who has not shown up.
I will try SD's #. Thanks!

There are probably different territories for the drivers. Mine does Ajijic Centro and I'm not sure what else.

Re: Propane
I flipped last December when I saw the rise in the cost of propane over the past year and resolved to do something about it.
I added 4 more solar panels, switched one remaining propane water heater to solar and replaced the stove with electric. My only propane use now is for the BBQ and gas clothes dryer.
My last propane fill up was March 2nd for 1,600 pesos. I just checked the tank yesterday and still have better than 40% left. I used to average 1,600 pesos every two months.
So not only does solar offset CFE charges, the payback calculation can include propane savings as well.

Re: Propane
Sunfan, good moves, but you need to replace that gas clothes dryer. They are propane hogs! Put up a clothesline! Free. My clothes dry in an hour, jeans maybe 2. EZPZ

I know but the Dryer is only three years old. I'll wait another year for a catastrophic failure then replace it with electric. Seems appliances these days are now designed with a 4 year useful lifespan in mind. But that's another subject.......

Juan/Los Altos showed up at 8:05 as promised. So happy to have a reliable contact, alternative to ZGas. Really nice guy. Thanks SD and CB.

Many of us "old-timers" have used Juan for years. He is reliable and honest.
