Re: Lakeside Food Delivery
I did and I love it. I had 2 people over for lunch and ordered pastrami sandwiches and sides from Emma’s Deli and the nice young guy putt-putted up to my house on his ATV right on time with the order just as I placed it. I think the delivery fee was around 50pesos and I tipped him handsomely for such good service (plus I want them to stay in business.). Couldn’t ask for better.

Me too!
When you contact them do they furnish you menus of various locations or do you need this info ahead of your contact with them?

Re: Lakeside Food Delivery
They said I could either place my order with them or call the restaurant and order then tell LFD where to pick it up. They have some menus on their FB page or you can go to the restaurant site.

Re: Lakeside Food Delivery
I ordered after looking over the menus on their Facebook page and ordered through Facebook messenger or do it as Trailrunner suggests. Heck, for what it cost I couldn’t have prepared a lunch for guests for less than that and their restaurant choices are prime.

Great idea for having guests over to eat, CB. I hope they get enough business to make it.

Re: Lakeside Food Delivery
WOW....somebody could come up with a "thumbs down" on that one?
I love Emma's Deli. Their soup is the best and the sandwiches are large enough to feed two hungry people, prepared with care and top quality ingredients.
I didn't realize they deliver. That's a bonus.

Haha, I know. Somebody hates me and puts a thumbs down on all my posts. Meh
Gringal, "they" don't deliver, Lakeside Food Delivery delivers. You have to access them from their Facebook page, use Messenger, or call them at 331 600 4835.
Apparently they will go to any restaurant to pick up orders for you, they have lots of menus on FB. Tabarka, Cocinart, many of your favs.

It's across the street from Tabarka. I don't know the name of the street that crosses 16 de Sept. in front of LCS but
it's on that cross street 1/2 block up from LCS.

I agree with you that Emma's is great and top of the line quality but their sandwiches, a half dozen or so, seem normal size to me. They use a "normal" size piece of rye bread on most sandwiches and their sausage size is about the same as Costco.
So I don't where you come up with they can feed two hungry people. Most people I go there with, or see there, can manage their sandwich.

Re: Lakeside Food Delivery
To modify my statement, we have a bowl of matzo ball soup first. Then the favorite sandwich comes on a large French roll, not on rye. Then there's the generous side of potato salad. That's enough for both of us. Some sandwiches are larger than others. YMMV.

Re: Lakeside Food Delivery
Called David at Tabarka yesterday and ordered vegetarian paella and some sides then called Lakeside Food Delivery and requested delivery. They touched base with David and gave me an ETA for when my paella would exit the pan, package, and be at my gate.
Right on time a charming young fellow pulled up and handed over the goods! We chatted for awhile, they are a startup, 5 of them all ready to deliver your food, and speaking perfect English. Fifty pesos, based on zones, for my delivery. Plus tip.
When I opened the package everything was PIPING hot and just out of the pan. Veg Paella for 2, a bag of bread and a bag of aioli sauce, mushrooms and beet and carrot salad. It was a great food day!!
Please use these young people, they are providing an excellent service that we need! They have all kinds of plans for delivery of other things and services to provide. They will also deliver groceries now and probably anything else you need delivered.
Provecho!

Re: Lakeside Food Delivery
So I assume they have the front money to pay for the food and then present the bill upon arrival?

That or the restaurants trust them to pay afterwards. I have no idea.

I'm happy about the website but many of the menus are blurry and unreadable. Just a glitch, I'm sure that they will fix.
