I hope Mexico is following this, while cannabis use is not popular with a wide range of Mexicans (other than as form of linament), the tourists would sure like some, without the risk of flying with it or buying from dodgy Mexican sources. Currently the cartels are in control of this in Mexican resort areas.

It is also legal in the State of WA.  And we learned when we were young that there is nothing better than "BC Bud". Can I go by boat the "Big Island" or drive north over the boarder and bring some bad to WA State?   Heck no, because it is still illegal by US Federal Laws.

Oh well, I am sure our hero The "Donald" will .. help. Oops, I forgot to insert the word NOT in front of help :( Smokealot

Yes it is going to be legal for us. Many people use the products for medical reasons as well and it will be easier to come by.
They are just going to have to figure out a way to make people not smoke and drive and stop that.

Interesting for sure. But well done Canada.

Driving over a boarder who hasn't paid his rent and who was trying to escape over the border to avoid same, is justifiable boarder/border homicide.

It is actually a great thing. Instead of allowing the cartels etc to make profits, now it is the government that gains therefrom in a very big way.

Another interesting point. In 2013, both the states of Colorado and Washington made pot legal. And it really helped the professional athletes. Guess which two teams went to the Super Bowl some 8th months after pot went legal in these two states?? It was played on Feb 2nd, 2014. Teams were from Colorado and Washington.

It was played in the MetLife Stadium and the teams were the Seattle Seahawks 43, versus the Denver Broncos 8. Although there is no evidence proving this, I believe the Seahawks won because they had access to BC bud. (nickname for very high quality British Columbia pot)

Well as far as I know, pot isn't known for any "performance enhancing" properties. Quite the opposite IMO. Perhaps if it was cocaine then maybe.....

Considering that many professional athletes have some kind of injury during most of their playing days?... and considering that "pot" (certain varieties) is able to help with pain discomfort? Nerve damage? Muscle and bone regeneration? Poor sleep and anxiety?
What a waste if you're only using it to get high.
