Coming back from Guadalajara towards Ajijic on the Jocotepec by-pass there is now an unmarked but well paved exit to downtown Joco. The road used to be a dirt road cut by the original construction crew. It now has curbs that are painted yellow and fresh black top but no signs. You must look for it by driving slowly and waiting for the opening.

I noticed locals also using it to come up from Joco to get on the by-pass.
