If it is outdoors then probably. If it's indoors not so likely.

They do allow smoking and pets. They serve breakfast and lunch but only coffee, drinks and desserts after about 3:00 p.m. or so.

The food is iffy, the level if smoke is unbearable, we now go to smoke free Panninos across the street

I had been planning to try this place but now I will not. I hope there are enough smokers lakeside to keep them in business.

You know what? I think this is another of those businesses that don't have to worry about staying in business.

I'm one who does like it. Have been for breakfast and lunch....food was fine.
And I have yet to see a smoker - a few wouldn't bother me.

I understand that they have indoor and outdoor spaces for diners. Do they allow smoking/pets in the indoor space?

It is my understanding that there is only outdoor space.

Panino certainly isn't dog free as they are under foot almost everyday.
I can put up with a few smokers outdoors even tho' I don't smoke. Dogs not so much.

Used to smoke; am paying the price now, and even a little smoke nearby is a problem. You're right about dogs underfoot outside at Panino's, so we ate inside. After a few price increases happened, we started getting our "American style" food elsewhere. Missed the Spaghetti special for a while until we found it was better for less at Cocinart. We are lucky there are so many choices now. It lets us be picky if we're so inclined.

Yes, but no one has been able to beat the Monday hot roast beef dinner, or the Wednesday turkey dinner with all the trimmings at Panino's. Yummy!

To each his/her own! Thanksgiving is enough turkey for the year for me.

I've only eaten at Paninos once when they were in the Plaza Montaña and once at Salvador's and I've never eaten at Manix. I didn't move to Mexico to eat roast beef and veal cutlet.

Jajaja..... TR.....carne asada (usually beef), pavo asado, y chuletas de ternera are quite common with my Guadalajara family cosineras, who have hardly been out of the city, little alone north of the border.
I'll make sure they don't screw up big time when we invite you over for comida......
Of course, if we use those names, a couple of tequilas, and some chiles habaneros, refuse to speak English, we might get it over on ya.

Re: Cafe Montana ..San Antonio
We ate lunch there a couple of weeks ago. Lunch is usually our main meal to the day and we were not happy. The portions were very small (and we are not big eaters) and we left hungry. Had to go out later and fill up. For what we got we thought it was kind of expensive.
BTW. The "outside" has a roof over and I understand that would make a no smoking area according to Jalisco Law.
Have you ever seen the fines for restaurants that allow smoking in prohibited areas? Punitive!
