A Tenencia RANT

I don't care if I ever see the inside of the office where I pay for my tenencia again. I've been there three times in the last two weeks and finally just dropped everything off for Spencer to do for around 200 pesos.
It was my mistake for wanting to change my address to the correct one. Be warned.
1) first time, every seat was taken and I turned around and left
2) second time, I waited and was told that I had to come back with copies of my identification and a utility bill in my name. So...
3) I returned for the third time today with the original of my Inmigrado card and a copyof both sides and my last electrical bill and a copy. Not good enough.

Now they wanted the identification of my husband. To which I replied, " Good luck with that, he died and, oh by the way, it doesn't matter because the tenencia says y/o (which means and/or)"
So then she decided that she wanted a copy of my passport. WHUH??? I was so pissed there was steam coming out of my ears when I left. Little demigods overcome with their own importance.

After that experience, you're entitled to a good RANT! My sympathies.

Thanks. It only seems to be the Chapala office that is pulling these stunts. I almost expect it to get shut down like the licensing office did... for conduct unbecoming.

What do you mean "tenencia"?  That hasn't been in effect for years.
You must mean refrendo because if they bring back tenencia my ears will be steaming too.  No tenencia this year for me, only refrendo, and already paid.....one trip, half hour wait, 5 minutes at the window.  Not bad by past standards.
Yeah, they wanted all the usual stuff, including my email address.
Even offered up a copy of my cat's rabies certificate.

See? I was so steamed that I called it incorrectly. Says on the Folio "Control Vehicular".
I don't mind providing what they ask for. Just give me the list and I'll get it done. I DO mind being jerked around and having things added to the list.
Next year, I'll be taking a copy of my hubby's death certificate, a copy of his cremation certificate and a copy of both of my dog's rabies certificates. I'm gonna flood 'em with paper copies.

It should say the fee is for "refrendo anual de placas vehiculos"and then the descuento followed by cruz roja donacion, if you made one.

It does say all that in the part where the fees are listed and totaled.
At the top, under the Folio number, there is a heading that says Tipo de Ingreso CONTROL VEHICULAR (their capital letters not mine)
