cops near/by tobalandia
My parents just drove by Tobalandia and said there were lots of cops and an area taped off. Not just local cops, State cops as well (maybe even Federales).
Anyone else see anything or hear of anything?

They didn't see any banged up cars when they drove by, so they must have done so quite a bit after?

Not a rumour, there was a body on the ground mostly covered by a tarp. We did not see any cars other than police vehicles.

Something BIG happened, 6 truck loads of Federal Police were around Chapala, they stopped at the municipal building, then drove by Ajijic and then came back. Also the Ministerio Publico had 3 truckloads of guys by Tobolandia but I didn't see any Federal Police there so I'm not sure if the 2 things are related.

I saw two of the Federal Police trucks at the Pemex near Soriana fueling up. They didn't look like they were just cruising around.

Here's another thought. The lady who sells berries was seen near the body crying. It's thought that the little girl was playing in the gutter, caught up in the water and drowned. Is there a drain near there?

Re: cops near/by tobalandia
It was our friend who called the paramedics. The child drowned and no parents were around for a very long time. Like they'd be held responsible for the drowning. I know the berry lady has a little boy and am hoping it wasn't her child. So sad, precious one. My heart is broken for you.

Re: cops near/by tobalandia
I think they were two separate events.
Early this afternoon I went past what looked like a little girl on the ground at the corner near Tobolandia. I was heading west into Ajijic. Someone was trying to revive a small child. I couldn't see much as I was in a lot of traffic and just as I passed them (no cars around) just a lot of bicycles, the Red Cross ambulance pulled up coming from the west.
At 4pm I drove from San Juan Cosala to San Antonio and in Rancho del Oro there were four or five Federale police trucks blockading the south side of Rio Bravo - one truck and Federal policeman on the north side blocking Rio Bravo by the restaurant Tabarka. All police out of their trucks and looking for something.
I dropped a friend off in San Antonio and returning west I saw all the Federale police trucks driving east in Ajijic heading toward Chapala and that was at 5pm to 5:30. The child was gone by that time as I had just passed the same tobolandia intersection heading west and there were a few people standing around but no child.

They were getting masks and gear on, in front of Walmart for 15-20 min, getting ready for the shoot out...yes, separate incidences. The shoot out is a rumor. Did anyone hear of a shoot out today because I haven't heard of one, just made that up. We all know they went to Chapala to move some people.
