It's called free speech and the Octagon, a members only section, was created to allow colorful language, personal opinions, arguments, rumors and all manner of expression to freely flow. The public viewing area is monitored with the gentle reader in mind.

So let those with ears hear and those with feet walk, and those with an extra beer to drop on by, anytime.

Bob I just posted a link over on TOB to this web board for people who what to read and say what they want - will probably get banned for the first time there.

Well I didn't get banned but they deleted my post with the link to here immediately. I'll have to go out and put up some posters about this web board now.

Nope they didn't delete the reference to Lakesidecrime.com . I posted right under it and my post is gone.

Just wanna let you know that I did pick up on this link from TOB, thank you very much. I don't like personal insults but I do like free speech. So I am glad to see the Octagon has free speech AND a generally good-natured and openminded tone. VERY glad I found you.

Well, like Simpsca I attempted to get the word out on TOB about another venue available to people.
It was deleted and I was told that using TOB to let others know about another web board was "rude". I was also advised that "And ALL the mods here are volunteers." I'm still trying to figure out how volunteering censorship somehow makes it more acceptable....

Those of you who have seen my posts in the past know that I have had approximately six ID's over on ToB. I was determined that they could NOT shut me down, no matter how hard they tried. I think I still have three active ID's over there. Then I asked myself why is it important? The old codgers over there that want to run the boards and attack anybody with a varying viewpoint are allowed to get away with it; the moderators who are endowed by their creator (Coldwell Bankers) with unalienable rights to do whatever the hell they want; the impotent and unimportant topics there -- who needs them? This is the ONLY board with free and unfettered freedom to express your views and comments.

That's interesting that you got chastised. They didn't say anything to me - just deleted my post. I have recruited a few members over here in the past before they deleted my posts.

This board has a some color to it. Those who are dry will probably stay over on TOB.
