Thanks for posting that ! While enjoying it, I realized that this would never, ever happen back in the States and why I'm so glad to be RIGHT HERE!

Remarkable video, and it offered you an opportunity to slam the country of your birth. Congrats.gringal wrote:CanuckBob wrote:Awesome video Kiko. I wish I was there to see that.

"Remarkable video, and it offered you an opportunity to slam the country of your birth. Congrats."
Why do you think acknowledging a difference between cultures equates to "slamming" one of them? Or do you have videos to share where U.S. federal police do things like this?

It apparently offered you an opportunity to vent some snark, for whatever reason. I don't recall stealing your cheese?
"the country of my birth" was pure happenstance, as it is for everyone on the planet, and no, at this point I am not pleased with the way the country of my birth seems to be filled with divisiveness rather than joy. Can anyone even imagine the police in the U.S. expressing that kind of enthusiasm in music? THAT was my point, not slamming anyone or any country.

What's wrong with slamming the US, IF it happens to be the country of your birth.....don't they/it deserve it?

Re: ¡¡¡Viva México!!!
Exactly. Little rant coming !!
None of us took part in the decision of where we would be born, and where is it written that we should ignore whatever our country of birth has done, is doing, or will do out of blind loyalty?
I have noticed that some posters do have such a case of "my country, right or wrong" and get outraged when the U.S. is called to task by one of its citizens. When is that wrong, and why? It's one of those precious rights called "free speech".
I've seen the U.S. govt. do right and I've seen otherwise as well. A spade is a spade.
I prefer my brain in its unwashed state.

Re: ¡¡¡Viva México!!!
How anyone could watch that video and not end up with a smile on their face is beyond my comprehension.
Congratulations addtocart. You've taken a simple moment of beauty and joy and turned it into another sour argument. In other words, you've done it again.
Thanks for posting the video, kiko!

Oh, some people (cough, cough) are the reliable Grinch when it comes to Mexico and the reliable Pollyana when it comes to the US, all wrapped up in one package, some of whom live right here in our midst.
All I can say is that it must be easy for these folks to get lost and not find their way home.

Re: ¡¡¡Viva México!!!
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Federales moonlight in Mariachi bands. Definitely a different vibe here. I literally can't imagine any FBI agent or employee being allowed to play any sort of music publicly while wearing their official uniform. Google reveals nothing.
I have seen the occasional policeman in some sort of dance-off video, but that's about it.
