Hi all,

I got a lot of useful info from reading this forum.
This time I make a move to visit Ajijic soon. Would anyone give me detailed information of buying a SIM card at GDL airport? Flight arrives kind of early morning, I wonder if they open the door by then.

I'm not sure about inside the airport however when you walk out the doors, right across the street towards the south end there is an OXXO convenient store. I'm pretty sure they sell SIM cards there. There is also another OXXO on the right hand side of the road as you leave the airport to hook up with the highway.

2 side questions :
- Which OXXO store is closer?
- Once I get there  (OXXO), can I still be allowed to get back to the Starbucks store inside the airport (security?). I need to wait for a friend there.

Since Bob didn't answer, the above is the closest one.

I believe Starbucks, along side Burger King (west end) is before any security check.

Yes, that is the closest OXXO and the Starbucks is in the waiting area so you can go back to it. BTW there are two Starbucks. One in the International waiting area and one at the opposite end of the airport in the Domestic arrival area.

LL, you will see the Starbucks as soon as you exit at international arrivals. Look to your left as you walk towards the doors to outside. The whole front of the airport is open to all.

Oh, BTW, are latte and cappuccino in Ajijic  as good as SBucks? Very Happy  Very Happy

Depends on where you go for the cappuccino... El Huerto Café has the best imho.
