Do you really need to start that anti-American crap again? Every nationality has its a@@holes, no one has a monopoly. And it has absolutely nothing to do with Mexico.

It's not anti-American, it's about stupid people who don't think laws apply to them. They're everywhere, in every country, race, creed and religion.

I know every country has its idiots, but at the moment the gun-toting bunch in the US seem to be walking away with first place in stupid.

How is this citing of what laws Americans are breaking somehow "anti-American"? The problem is that some people feel they are above the laws of any country. Where do you stand on this, Clete?

No country is immune from "stupid" citizens, some just seem to have more than some others.

Well, of course they do if they have 10 times the population.

Some US laws are unconstitutional. The law makers forget their roles and their oath. Some laws should be disregarded. I'm not referring to murder, theft, driving while intoxicated. For instance the civil forfeiture law is wholly unconstitutional. Citizens are being stopped and their cash taken just because. There is no proof of any wrong doing, no charges or trial and yet they don't get their money back. This is no longer the rule of law. The police departments now count on this as income for their budget which leads to more power grab. I realize these comments apply to the US and not Mexico, however, what governments do is typically copy each other's crimes.
Governments historically always end up making laws that take away a person's freedom. The Nazis made a law that Jews could not have dogs or weapons. Anyone who has this notion that such a thing could never happen again is not realistic. The population is typically fed some type of story about a thread of some sort, then the press repeats it over and over, then everyone believes it and they get used to the idea of government making even more regulations. It's the story of how to boil a frog.....slowly.

Why is the subject even brought up on a Mexican-themed message board?

Undoubtedly. Plenty of web boards where you can share that view. This one is supposedly about Mexico. At least put it in the Octagon.
