Customer forced to pay merchant she disparaged on Facebook (Mexico)
http://yucatanexpatlife.com/yucatan-judge-applies-defamation-law-to-facebook-user/
"Mérida, Yucatán — For the first time in Yucatán, a customer who took a complaint to Facebook was found guilty of defamation.
Judge Suemy Lizama Sánchez sided with a swimsuit store who said her business was harmed because it was disparaged on social media."
Be careful what you write on social media!

Especially if the problem was not of the merchant's making AND the merchant had offered a refund. A whinny customer was mad about a delayed order and trashed the merchant on Facebook.

Never put anything in writing that you don't want to show up in front of a judge.

Exactly right. Never put anything in writing that you wouldn't want to see projected overhead in court.
