Rain was lovely...

...and the temperature drop was divine! 31 C. at 7:30... 24 C. at 8:30 ... 19 C. at 10 p.m.
First time I've felt perky in a while. I may have to get out a blanky to sleep tonight.

For me, eleven days without rain since the first one on May 26.  They should start coming more frequently now.

Mark your calendars. If we get 2 more within 6 days(which I think we will) then we will be declaring June 7 as the start of the rainy season.

we got barely a trace in Chapala Haciendas 2

Just shy of 4mm where we are in Chapala Haciendas 2; better than the 1mm the other day.

We got a good rain in SA, accompanied by cool wind, thunder, and lightning. I think we're looking at June 7th too, yay!

Best part for me. . .the pretty bad fiesta music from the plaza can't play in the rain! Double yay.

And I hear Joco got even more.

Thursday at 10 pm the sky opened up. Now LOUD thunder scaring the crap out of dogs and cats that usually never even notice it. Rain blowing in south windows AND east windows (which I usually never to close). I think rainy season is here.

10:45 in Riberas... WIND, TORRENTIAL RAIN (new gutter is overflowing), THUNDER, LIGHTNING. Power was out briefly. Now it's 11:30 with no sign of letting up.
Noisy. I'm going to bed with a new pair of earplugs.

So did it rain again last night? I'm on the coast and no rain at all here yet.

It not only rained, it blew and we had a power outage. Power on now.

So that makes 3 in a row. Our winner is whoever picked June 7.

The rain was supposed to start around 10 but, in Riberas, didn't start until 12:12. I got up to close a couple of windows and dutifully reported to my friend in Rancho Alegre (just east of Joco) that it had started. She messaged back this morning that it started there at 12:38. Big wind, rain, thunder and lightening. Dunno how long it rained for 'cuz I went back to bed.
She was actually still waiting up because on the first night of the storms (the 7th), a crack appeared right over their bed and POURED water all over it. On the 8th the crack was repaired and is holding still through the last two nights of storms.
Point being, that in all three cases, the storms started in the east and moved west.
Congrats to whoever won the pool.
