A group of us went there today, Friday. Food very good. Many people coming in. Bob, the new owner, came and checked on all of us and asked how everything was. Service excellent. I had the fish and chips, lighted breaded with Panko, delicious, however, the slaw was finely ground up and mushy. I did tell him about the mushy slaw and he said he would work on it. This is a keeper. Support the new owner.

New owners are Bob and Janelle, nice people. He's a finance type, she was in the restaurant business.

We had lunch there last week. One big fat complaint:  they should never serve yesterdays' fritters re-fried to a dark crisp to anyone. Terrible.
Other than that, my husband's curry was good. My "Pad Thai" had over- marinated, mushy chicken with loads of red and green peppers.  Not so good.

However, so many people have been saying they had good experiences that we'll give it another try. It is a very nice setting, catching a breeze in the warm months.

I doubt it does much good to complain here.

Speaking of which, I thought the only time they were any good was when you got 'em freshly fried and swished them through the "salmon" dip they served with Sunday Brunch. Wierd, eh?

Our fritters were fresh and crispy with a sauce for dipping. If you think you have over marinated mushy chicken, tell Bob. They are just taking over since the end of April, so give them a chance to educate the previous cooks/staff to get with the program with fresh food and good service.. As I said, the cole slaw was mushy. You could have sucked it up through a straw. I told Bob in a nice way and showed him the mushy slaw and he said he would work on that problem. Just let him know of the problems. He inherited a business that was sometimes good and sometimes not so good when Roberto wasn't there. Let's stick together and build his business. Bob went to every table while we were there to get comments. Don't be afraid to tell him nicely your problem with your meal.

He seems like a very nice man, so next visit, if anything's wrong I'll tell him, tactfully of course. Things slid there badly when Bobby was ill and never really recovered, so I wish the new Robert well.

Had a very nice brunch there just before my trek NOB. Bob and Janelle came over and it was very nice. I get there with a short stroll, so I'm pleased.
