Retina Surgery
I just finished getting a retinal detachment surgery here NOB. This kind of problem, when it occurs, requires same day surgery, else the probability of permanent blindness.
So, I'm interested in lining up a surgeon in GDL or elsewhere just in case I need help when visiting lakeside. Any recommendations?

Re: Retina Surgery
I am posting this for all to see and benefit.
Dr. Enrique Roig
Clinica Santa Lucia, Guadalajara.

Google him for info. I had a possible detached retina and he will see you immediately. He's a retinologist.

Re: Retina Surgery
Ditto on the suggestion for Dr. Roig.
I have had multiple retinal detachments and he has attended to them promptly; most of them at Clinica Santa Lucia, which is an excellent and very specialized eye clinic. He and I both prefer it to Puerto de Hierro & it is also less expensive. The anesthesiologist at Sta. Lucia, Dr. Camarena, is the best I have ever had in over a dozen surgeries.

The clinic is also very easy to find:
Manuel Acuña 2941 Esq. Nelson Fraccionamiento Terranova
Guadalajara
Take Av. Terranova north from Av. Mexico and turn left on Manuel Acuña. The clinic will be on your left, just beyond Plaza Terranova and a bank.
