The other side
With the influx of Expats moving into the area in the last few years, have you notice if any has been settling on the South Side of the lake, if so what part? (name of town)

We live over here in Puerto Corona. There are a few foreigners over here in San Luis, Tizapan. We know one in Mismaloya.

Re: The other side
I like Tizapan, I'd live there if I moved to the south shore.
How do you like living in Jiquilpan? I've only driven through, looks nice though. . .

It is a "pueblo magico" so it has a lot of cultural events. I live walking distance to everything so I enjoy being there. It has nice parks for walking and a huge "bosque" nearby. It is not too commercialized but what you can't find there you can go to Sahuayo (15mins) or Zamora which is 30 mins away and has Sams, Walmart, Home Depot and more

That sounds very nice. I know Sahuayo and Zamora somewhat. The bosque, is it good hiking? Safe? Other recreational activities? I miss the woods.
Are you married into a Mexican family, or what about socializing? Are you a foreigner? Not many others there, right?
Sorry about all the questions, I've never had an opportunity to talk to anyone who lives in Jiquilpan.

Re: The other side
We live in Tizapan, love it here, the people are very friendly and accepting, we have good Mexican friends. Our dogs get us into a lot of conversations, often with the kids( they know the dogs by name). Folks bring out their English, and even some German, since they know we do try to speak some Spanish. Shopping is pretty good for such a small town, but I do go to Sahuayo, and supplies for the animals, especially for our cats, come from Riberas. For us humans I do stop at Superlake and Paz, but less and less often.
