Re: Chili Cook Off Entrance Fee
A friend of mine went yesterday, stayed for 2 hours and never saw one of those little shuttles for people who have mobility problems. In this area, and considering how far from the parking lot the main festival is, I think that should be considered for next year.

I parked in the handicapped parking in the front. There were 4 spaces, The other 3 were taken by Canadian plated cars with no handicap plates or stickers. The walk up the hill to the stage and food area was arduous. I would have been better off driving up to the upper lost and just parking.
The 40P for entrance coupled with a parking fee of 30P was a very large increase over previous years.

I have been when it was up the hill (where it is now), and when it was inside Tobolandia.
I liked it in Tobolandia much more.
One of the reasons for moving it up the hill is so that they can have the dancing horses.
Personally, I do not see the connection between dancing horses and chili, but maybe the horses ate some of the chili.

I didn't even make it up to the top where the chili was and a friend had a table up there. I was pooped out by the time I turned around and came back after parking so far back. I couldn't figure out why all the empty spots down behind where you entered were not used and you had to hike so far up. Good luck tomorrow, Bob. I bet you win.
