Woven roof mat

I need to replace some of the roof mat in one of my casitas. Does anyone know where I can buy this type of woven matting around here?

It's called "petate" (peh-TAH-tay), which might help you find it. Any of the local remodeler/rehabilitation type guys should know a source.

Petate should be easy to find at any construction material business such as Lopez, one block east of the donut shop on the carrretera in Ajiic.  If not in existencia, they would know where to order it.

Maria on the carretera by Torito sells petates and I have heard some are made on the southern part of the lake.

Where exactly is Maria? Is she one of the street vendors?

She is at the corner of the street that goes down from the carretera. bewenn Torito and Dermika. She sells baskets petates etc.. If she does not have any she may know where to get them.
I have also seen them in Tonala but that was a while ago.
