picky cats
I have 2 cats who seem not to want the small chunks of beef, chicken, tuna , just lick the plate. Any suggestions on a wetter food. thanks in advance

Re: picky cats
You have two options:
1. Put the food in a blender and turn it into mush, with oil if needed.
2. Give them only water for 3 days. Then put out the food and ignore them. Sooner or later, they will eat it.

Re: picky cats
Try Purina Felix (get it at the pet shelter) they have several flavors that are "Pate" i.e. not chunky.

I also have 2 picky cats. One is super picky. They both eat the Purina Felix solid variety of wet food as they don't think much of the stuff in gravy either.

Make sure they don't have teeth or gum problems preventing them from chewing.

Re: picky cats
My cat live primarily outdoors and eats mice tacos, lizard tacos, bug tacos but still wakes me up at 7:00am sharp every single morning for the boring cat food. She sits outside my window meowing and clawing at the screen until I get up.....jaja. I guess I am well trained.

Re: picky cats
At sea, our cat ate what we ate, with the exception of flying fish, which she relished & was capable of corralling up to five, threatening to bloody us if we tried to get one for ourselves. She was aboard for three years, never going ashore until we gave her away on the Iles Marquises, in French Polynesia, as we were sailing up to Hawaii, where she would have been quarantined. We never did find a mouse, rat or cockroach aboard the schooner.

Re: picky cats
No healthy animal ever starved when given good quality food. Wet food only isn't particularly good for the cat's teeth. I always figured the chunks in gravy were the least desirable since there was more gravy than actual food. Choose a food, put it in the plate, plate on the floor, and wait 15 minutes. If it isn't eaten, remove the plate, wait 8 hours, and put the plate down again. Repeat until the cat eats.
Make sure there is fresh water available. Some cats prefer that the water is not near where they eat. A small bowl or two in other rooms can increase the amount of water they drink.
RAW chicken gizzards - NOT cooked - are really good for cleaning teeth on cats and small dogs. One or two a week will make a big difference.
