What are airport conditions now

I'm asking for a friend who is coming in Sun. am. What are the current conditions at the Guadalajara airport? Is the parking lot open?

Everyone asks about the parking for cars, but nobody asks about potholes and other hazards on the runways. Strange!

Protest is over. According to the Guadalajara Reporter,they've  moved to negotiations.

I came into GDL on this past sunday afternoon. While the parking garage appeared to be operational, the terminal drive up is a mess - boarded up 2 middle lanes, mud mountains, with 2 taxi only lanes @terminal curb & 2 far left lands for everyone else. My friend picking me up said circling a second time was more complicated too. Flooded if raining, narrow sidewalk. More fun= more time.

Sounds like a taxi in/out is the best option until this construction is finished.

I was there a week ago in the afternoon to drop someone off and the construction didn't impact me much. I would recommend parking and meeting your party in the terminal for pickups.

I dropped someone off about 5 days ago and getting to the terminal was bad. In fact I never got there. It was pinched down to one lane at the start of the terminal and it was at a standstill. I let them out, turned around and went out on Rental Car Road.

There are big signs at the parking entrance that say "first 15 minutes free" which I assume is to accomodate drop offs. Also, you could just drive in on RCR and drop them off "close enough", turn around and head out.

That said, I have two people arriving tomorrow at different times. Airport pick-ups? Screw that. I told them to take a cab.

Went there today, parked easy. Lots of construction, yes, but still the same crosswalks. No big deal. Got my friend his FMT card (we drove in together so he didn't get one.) I was in and out with no hassle in 25 minutes.
