Beethoven calling?
I’ve now received three strange phone calls. The first the other day at 7am, another yesterday a little after 5pm, and then one this morning around 9:15 a.m. Each time the caller ID says “unknown” or “private”. On the other end of the phone there is piano music, I think it’s a Beethoven piece, or maybe a Mozart sonata. I’ve only listened to it once all the way through, to see if anyone would eventually pick up the phone, and it lasts about 20 seconds, then “hangs up”.
Anybody else getting these? Anybody have a theory? All I can guess is it’s a potential burglar ringing to see if someone answers the phone/is home, etc.

Jaja. Well, I definitely like that theory better than mine, but I think it less likely.

There was a funny picture on Facebook that said, "Remember when stalkers were called secret admirers?" At least your stalker has good taste in music, Rosa.

Now I think I prefer the "stalker" theory over the "burglar" idea. At least "stalker" has an exciting/dangerous ring to it. Burglars are so ho-hum.
I wasn't clear in the OP. I'm not being serenaded by a pianist. It's a canned recording. In fact, if anybody remembers the old Peanuts Cartoon TV Specials, it sounds JUST LIKE Schroeder playing Beethoven on the toy piano. Wait! That's it! Schroeder had a stalker: LUCY!
There's hope!

Out of whack commercial "auto dialer". They call til you answer and someone answers at the other end. No one has answered at the other end. I will guess it will keep up until both of you answer.

I would listen to the concert piece. The music scammers can call and entertain us, then we can hang up.

Could it be a lada interterrrestial call as a recording of Chuck Berry's "Roll over Bethoven", in answer to his "Johhny B Goode" which was sent into deep space by NASA.
They probably don't speak English.
