Ajijic Casino Empty Ajijic Casino

Post by oncesubtle Tue May 24, 2011 2:09 pm

Not to be compared to the Vegas casinos but pretty all right as it's air conditioned and sodas are free! Full bar, about 40 video machines with 6 poker and 1 black jack. Also 6 screens for off track betting of horses, dogs and various team sports etc.. "The Crown" is located just meters west (across the street) from the El Torito Market and you will need I.D to get your club card to play. Nice distraction on a hot day.

Guad. highway, pfffft. A bigger gamble is the Super Lake parking lot where a friend had is Rover damn near totaled IN the parking lot. When asked what happened the old geezer said his foot had stuck to the gas pedal and mentioned that had been happening a lot lately. Shocked

Wouldn't it be cheaper go to the movie for 20 pesos on a hot afternoon. That's what I do. I'll watch just about anything to be cool.

Has anyone played blackjack or poker at the new Ajijic casino?
Did the dealers know what they were doing?
What is the minimum bet?

Are the slot machines those damn new TV screens or do things actually
turn and move around. I don't know why but I just prefer the old machines
where the wheels turn and things move. I don't go to vegas anymore. It's
like sitting in a giant TV testing room these days. I know they are cheaper
to make and service and I am probably being an old fart but do others feel
the same or am I the only Luddite (person who rejects technology)?

If you want some company in your Ludditity, I'm here for ya.

I've got over 1000 accumulated minutes on my cell phone, don't tweet, won't do Facebook or any of the other ways to have 5 million "friends" I've never met. I actually enjoy browsing the library shelves and turning the pages of a book. My TV screen doesn't fill the wall, either.

Old Fartess, for sure.
