American Will
Just a question that I need a answer for. Is my will that was written in Texas that and leaves all my properties, cars, investment & bank accounts in Texas and Mexico to my daughter good here in Mexico?

Spencer needs to answer this but here's my take. My investments (don't have any property in the States any more) will be covered by a stateside will. Since I own a house & car here I'm going to get a Mexican will to save grief over my bank account, home & car. My realtor suggested this but I haven't checked it out with an attorney yet.

Re: American Will
The best practice is to have a will in each country. Your US banking type accounts can designate a beneficiary and that might be the simplest way, ask your institution how they recommend to title accounts for no hassle and ease of transfer upon your demise. In Mexico if you just have one property you can designate beneficiaries on your deed, thereby making the transfer easy.
It is best for each will to specify that it only disposes of things in that country and recognizes that your property in another country is covered by a will in that country.
