Were you trying to use the construct "you are" expressed as "you´re", Marty? Are we riding too high here?

Re: Have Some Madeira My Dear
I haven't seen a reasonable definition of "normal" yet, has anyone else?
Once upon a time, a friend of mine went to a psychologist, convinced that he was going a bit nuts. The psych. guy told him to look at his friends and acquaintances and see if he could find five people who were "normal" and had no glitches.
Next week, he went back to the shrink and had to admit.........he couldn't find any. Now, maybe all the people he knew were nutcases..........but if you look around at everyone YOU know, let's see if any of us can find a "normal" person. Good luck on that.
The voices in my head tell me to stop now.

John Lennon said the same thing in far fewer words.
"Normal people are the people you don't know very well".

Re: Have Some Madeira My Dear
Just don't let it go to your head.
There used to live just, down the block, a cat named "Nearly Normal Norman."
Of course, "Nearly Normal" wasn't.... normal. Not nearly!
But neither is anybody else.
Rest assured that the more you think you're normal, the more likely you are nothing of the kind.
:face: Lizzy (not "normal" and proud of it)
