Someone to fix intercom or install new one?

Hi - the intercom between our gate and our house (about 150 meters distance) has stopped working. We can still push a button to open the gate, but we can't talk to anyone before doing that.

We contacted the guy who installed our alarm, he came out to look at it but has not returned. Someone recommended an American who works on intercoms and I called him, but he was too busy.

Any suggestions / recommendations?

We are also looking at upgrading the intercom to include a camera at the gate plus a viewing screen at the house. Would have to hardwire it because the distance is too long for wireless; and can't do it over the internet because there is no internet service at the gate. Would love to get recommendations for someone to tackle this.

We're having the exact same problem. The intercom system (phone & camera) we have is about 10yrs old and we figured it just pooped out (except for the button that opens the gate). Steren has the updated model of the kind we have. You might check with them to see if they have what you're looking for. They may also be able to recommend someone to install your system.

Steren is an electronic store across the street from Walmart and next to the sushi restaurant.

If they can't help, check at Illumina Decora in San Antonio, west of Oxxo on the lake side of the careterra. They sell intercoms, etc. so they may know a good person for your problem.

Went to Stern yesterday, they had exactly what we needed, and recommended someone to install it. He's coming tomorrow afternoon to see if he can fix the old intercom, and our alarm siren which has gone wimpy. We bought new intercom handsets in case he can't fix the old one.
