By the way, I thoroughly enjoyed the wedding. Especially the hats.

Nobody can do all the pomp & circumstance better than the Brits (and they're pretty creative with hats, too.)

And the blue-gray Karen Walker suit Kates mother wore was to die for!
The fly-over with the Lancaster, Spitfire, & Hawker Hurricane was pretty cool too.

PS How 'bout Fergie's daughter? Now that was the ultimate hat statement to my mind. Whew! L

Best line from a commentator was from Tim Gunn: "What's with Princess Anne? She looks like a salad." (And she did.)

Now that we're here, has anyone seen pix of the luncheon or the party?

Re: Royal Wedding
No, but I think I'd like to see the pics of the breakfast Harry hosted for the survivors of the all-night party.

Re: Royal Wedding
I get nothing but CNN and the American Network .... and was inundated with wedding crap for the previous week. Was almost hoping for another war or cataclysm.
There's a lot that is still hard to believe exists in this day and age ... and that gaudy marriage was close to the top

It was such a pleasant change from Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya et al. Here's a link to the party: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1382586/Royal-wedding-party-Slip-ups-downs-sambucca-slammers.html

Re: Royal Wedding
Of course I was kidding about the bad things to replace it .... but between the wedding and Donald Trump I was gaging. In two weeks I get Star Choice. Were they any better?
Re: Royal Wedding
Of course! Fewer commercials! Donald Trump, on the other hand, is totally commercial.

Absolutley! We watched it on BBC World (Shaw 501) sans commercials & the blabbering BS of the blond info-babes of the U.S. media. Those amazing overhead revolving camera shots in the Abbey were all BBC-provided & I hope that director gets an emmy.
BTW, Lizzy's post above implies I said something rather witty, but apparently it was not acceptable to somebody as it has now disappeared into the ozone...and God knows I want to be acceptable!...anyway, I would appoligize for my offense, but I have no recollection of what said witicism was...guess I better back off of Bubbas fantasy-tonic...killing off too many brain cells me thinks.

Re: Royal Wedding
We did, of course, have "full" coverage up here. I think if pics of the parties and breakfast did show up, somebody's head might roll. Seems The Queen was adamant about no press/no pictures.
The media had to be content with showing photos of Prince Charles getting down back in the 70s.
It must have been almost 24/7 "coverage" and commentary for the weeks preceding the wedding. We watched a lot of movies; the pre-wedding hysteria was positively embarrassing. The media were slavering like hungry dogs.
