PERRY'S PIZZA OPEN?
Drove past an hour ago and it looks like people were going in.
Is this a test run, or is he open now?
Brightly painted place; looking good!

Re: PERRY'S PIZZA OPEN?
They're doing some interior painting in our casa and the smell drove us out for dinner, so we tried Perry's for the first time.
We had the vegetarian version. Excellent chewy crust, top quality ingredients. It was still pleasant enough at sunset to sit on the porch. Not that there was a choice; very little seating inside and all of it occupied. I'm sure Perry will address the seating problem in the future once he gets the place off the ground, and with this kind of quality, he should do very well indeed. We'll definitely be back.
One complaint: the iced tea in the pitcher is sweet. meh. The nice lady serving offered to make some without sweetener...but that takes time so we ordered beers and they came in a frozen mug. Yess!

The cell is 331-300-3400, don't imagine that has changed.
Land line was 766-2841 but that could be different.

Large sign for Perry's still on the Carreterra pointing to the old location. Is that location open too?

Re: PERRY'S PIZZA OPEN?
We had lunch there today awaiting a pizza to take home for New Years Eve at home, per usual. Ordered the "special" burger at 75 pesos. Living it up.
It was a 7 oz. burger with very good meat, a rectangular bun, 2 onion rings, the lettuce, tomato, pickle "fixings", and a big pile of fries. More than enough for me; just right for hungry spouse. One of the best burgers in town, no doubt about it. Next time, I'll get the "regular" burger at 55 pesos.
Such a deal, not to be missed.
By the time we were finished at about 12:30, all the outside tables were filled. He's going to have a problem with that, and I hope he can expand the seating. Hardly any inside. The new umbrellas were welcome.

He can and will expand the seating inside.
He has an inside area and a patio in the rear of the building that will accommodate at least 100 people when it is finished.

I'm glad to hear that, because he definitely has the best pizza in town.
The pizza we took home for dinner was absolutely delicious. We added "extra cheese" to the veggie ingredients and then added our own Italian pepperoni later. Next time, we'll try one of his meat additions.

Re: PERRY'S PIZZA OPEN?
I agree, he is by far the best pizza in town. I stopped making my own since Perry's came on the scene.
Re: PERRY'S PIZZA OPEN?
We had pizza on the patio a couple of days ago and a chat with Perry. Pizza was great, artisan beer and a nice white wine...we will be back. (Bano could use some work, though.)

Re: PERRY'S PIZZA OPEN?
We had their meat lovers pizza today. It was excellent & reminds us of Papa Murphy's in the states. Definitely the best pizza in town. Only one size....more than plenty for 2. Tried their mini key lime pie...very tasty! Will try their other offerings next trip.

Re: PERRY'S PIZZA OPEN?
Surprise - Perry's has about the best hamburgers lakeside. The bacon-bacon burger is great. The fish and chips was not so great when we visited. But, I would take a Perry's cheeseburger over Trip's burgers any day. Also agree that they have the best pizzas.
My friend's review of Perry's is here, http://lakechapalarestaurantguide.blogspot.mx/2016/01/perrys-pizza-pizza-place-fish-and-chips.html

Re: PERRY'S PIZZA OPEN?
For the vegetarians and lighter eaters among us: The first pizza we tried was a veggie pizza. That's a challenge for the kitchen: making it really tasty without the zing of pepperoni or sausage. It exceeded expectations. It was absolutely delicious. Best we've had in Lakeside.
Kudos on the burgers, too!
