Sure, why not? But that wasn't Pepe's problem........I guess he just wasn't a "joiner", so "they" decided he should lose his job sans termination pay. Too bad. He did a nice job on the UTube "Hotel California". RiP.

Re: Death on Nicolas Bravo This Afternoon
Another small time dealer Efrain, was kidnapped near the regatta de globos about 3 years ago and then his body was found on the mountain behind Ajijic about 6 months later. One day I was talking with Pepe and I asked him if he was worried about being next and he told me "no, I'm not worried". I thought maybe he knew the "right" people.
I never bought any of Pepe's "shit". It's not my thing. But, Pepe was always friendly and nice to me. I loved hearing him playing his music. He will be missed.
R.I.P Pepe

Oh my, is that what happened to Efrain? El Licenciado, they called him. I heard he was dead but I never knew what the deal on that was. I think Efrain was a much bigger player though, there was a reason they called him "Licenciado". Last time I saw him he was all skinny and his teeth were all corroded and it was so gross, meth I guess. He looked baaaad. That was maybe five years ago.
I used to live down the street from Pepe for years. He had a wife and a small daughter back then. They had a huge video collection and I used to go over there to rent videos from them.
When someone knocked on the door he never just opened it untill he knew who was there. He must know the person who killed him...Hell, probably half the population of Hooterville knows who killed him by now.

Sounds as though he made his way in life as best he could. Life often can be cruel. Hope he has found peace.
Anyone know how his family will now get by?

His children are adults now and his wife left years ago, his two brothers always manage to get by. His other brother, Lobito, died in the same house 8 or 9 years ago...

For those that are interested, Pepe's funeral will be at 4:00pm today at San Andreas.

Re: Death on Nicolas Bravo This Afternoon
I knew Pepe and, I am good friends with his brother Mario. We eat lunch together 2-3 times a week. Very intelligent, talented, and decent people. Many of the posters on "the other board" were taking petty pot shots at Pepe, some even going so far as to say that he "got what he deserved." Before I could tell all of those judgemental pr&@*ks where to stick it, the moderators took down the entire thread.
Thank you, Ms. Thang. And thank you CanuckBob, and thanks to all of the other posters here that showed respect and human decency. Nobody deserves to gunned down in the street--NOBODY.
Rest in Peace Pepe.
