Bad accident on the carretera

Just west of Rio Bravo. Bus front window on the drivers side is smashed inwards.
Bus is skewed across 1.5 lanes with long skid marks behind it. Two shoes on the roadway.

Traffic is starting to get backed up. Best to avoid if possible.

NEED HELP for RUDY's DOGS:
Rudy was a homeless man who was hit by a bus yesterday and died. He was known for hanging out at La Huerta Market in West Ajijic and the abandoned dogs he collected. Did Rudy have any family other than his pets, how will he be buried, would like to help!

The lady mentioned in my previous post lives in Villa Nova, and knew Rudy.
She may be able to help with more information.

There will be a rosary prayer for him tonight on the carattera at 7:00 pm, across the street where he lived, please join us!

He has had quite a few dogs over the years. Where are their pictures to click on?

I saw ellie today with one of the dogs.

I wonder if that's the same bus driver who nearly caused an accident on the carratera last week. My husband was following him. The bus attempted to pass a car (which was going at the speed limit) and as he saw that he did not have enough time to make it, he pulled back in, almost hitting my husband, who by that time had gotten closer.

If my husband had not slammed on his brakes, there would have been a major accident. The bus swayed quite a bit. Watch those guys. The buses drive wait to fast on the highway.

Rudy was a US Veteran. I understand the Chapala Legion is helping find his family and assisting with a buriel and working with the US Consulate.

The bus driver did not cause the accident. A man I know told me his friend was ridding his motocycle and Rudi sarted crossing the road, a small car going west passed him and hit Rudi who went flying into the windshield of the bus that was driving going east.
It was a hit and run and not by the bus.
RIP Rudi , he was a good man and was totally happy last week when he heard his little lab puppy that had been hit by a car was alive and he was going to get her.

We passed the scene long after it happened and I tried to figure out how there could be a huge part of the glass on the front of the bus at the driver's height broken and dented inward. Thanks for explaining it, Brigitte. So very sad.

I'm not sure you're info is right, Brigitte. We passed at l:15, and the bus was direction going west, slightly turned to the center of the road. We saw the running shoes in the middle of the street. So sad.

RIP Rudy .......always gave him 10 pesos when I shopped at La Huerta ..he always gave a nod and a whistle.... not a mean whisker in his body
