Riberas Area Empty Riberas Area

Post by windrider17 Fri Jun 26, 2015 1:24 pm

Be alert for a dark blue, reasonable condition, not new - but late model pick up in the Riberas area. 2 guys, one early 20's, one 40's, third stayed in the vehicle, forced their way into a woman's home this morning, overpowering the housekeeper at the door, threw both women to the floor, pulled them around by their necks, tied them up, stole small electronics, some cash and jewelry. Happened about 11:30 this morning. 2 blocks toward the lake from the 7-11. Folks are at the Ministerial Publico now making the report. Police responded fairly quickly. Third incident on the same block this week, but no one at home with the other 2.

On Ave de la Rivera? Any info on the other two incidents? Is the truck largish, like a Ford 150? If so I have seen it this week. I circled the block back to check on my house as they seemed suspicious. They took off towards the careterra when they saw me return home. Any info would be most helpful! Thanks.

F150 size and Ave la Ribera is all I can add at this point. All 3 are daytime incidents.

This truck has cruised the area frequently during the mid mornings this past week, wish I had been on the ball and gotten a plate number. I will keep an eye out. I hope the two female victims are OK.

There is currently a dark blue Ford F150 parked on San Luis just west of San Juan, facing east. It is right on the corner on San Luis. It jas a white decal on the cab back window which I don't remember seeing before. I didn't see anyone in or near it or I would have tried to get pics. Would they recognize the vehicle?

Call the police and get them out of there, scare them for a change and they will know that people are watching them.

Thanks for the heads-up, windrider17. We have a house on a small privada off La Paz in east San Antonio. We're out of the country at the moment but friends who are staying in our house told us about seeing a blue truck that they felt was acting suspiciously, driving up and down the privada and taking off when the driver realized he was being watched. They said there was a ladder in the truck. So because I had read your post, I was able to alert our friends about the recent incidents and remind them to keep doors locked, phones handy and so on.

I am watching with my camera near by. The police drive by my house at least 3 times a day but I haven't seen them for a few days. I am alerting my neighbours to be on the lookout.

5 males stopped in the middle of a burglary yesterday in this area of Riberas, three caught, two got away. Descriptions very similar and a line up will held today. No information about a vehicle. Understand the location to be on San Luis, in the block east of 7/11.

Was this, before or after, the (what I heard) armed robbery of the 7-11 store in Riberas?....Wed. or Thurs.?

My understanding is that it was Thursday morning. Call from police and MP office about a line-up came mid afternoon Thursday to my friend.

Happened Thursday around 2pm. I know because the cops drove past my place like bats out of hell and then later I talked to one of the cops and he told me they caught a few of them red handed, carrying stuff out of a house.
