Thanks, however I have tried most locations and they only carry digital units.

Why not use a digital thermometer?

I too, hate digital. Do they have analog rectal thermometers?

Re: Glass, Oral Thermometer
I haven't seen a contact thermometer in a decade. They are all just "point and shoot" now.
I haven't seen a glass rectal thermometer since my kid was a baby and that was 40 years ago.
I always though that one end of me was the same temp as the other but I could be wrong, but I am a man.
That thing looks like it has mercury in it. You won't find anything with Mercury outside of a museum today.

They are sold everywhere. Bring the picture to a pharmacy, or try several pharmacies if needed. I have bought one at Guadalajara Pharm in the past. They are usually kept behind the counter so you have to ask fr it.
Also, every hospital still carries them and provides one to all patients who checks in for any kind if treatment (yes, the cost is added to your bill too). So in a pinch, you could always ask at a hospital pharmacy.

I have been to several pharmacies, with my picture. Was at Sanborns today and tried there. No luck so far.
Don't like the digital ones because they depend on a battery. And when you are sick, and the battery is dead, who feels like having to go out and get another one? The old fashioned ones, always work, unless you drop them! BTW...they are not mercury anymore.

Get one in celcius, you can always have a chart showing you the translation from F in celcius if you are not comfortable with celcius. I have bought a couple with mercury ( do not know if it is mercury but it is silver grey like mercury is.) here so they do exist.

The one pictured is bisexual; celsius/farenheit!

I will buy F or C...doesn't matter. Please let me know where you purchased yours. If it is silver then it is mercury.
A mercury thermometer can be easily identified by the presence of a silver bulb. If the bulb is red, blue, purple, green or any other color, it is not a mercury thermometer.

Talk to Lulu at Farmacia Maskaras in Riberas, if they don't have them, I'm sure she would order you one.
