so there are several sites for used cars besides mercado libre. i wanted a 1976-84 renault r5[mexican name mirage] so i googled that and specifically jalisco. then on each site i narrowed it down to guadalajara  and area.

I don't see the windup key?

Enjoy your new wheels.

Any solution to recovering costs from the accident??

Cute car Pedro....jaja. Seems a little pricey for a 35 year old Renault though. Does it have some sort of collectability status in Mexico?

Any car over 25 years old is called a "classico" as is my 1987 Vocho however that doesn't make it a collectible. Are parts readily available for this? Like at AutoZone and ORMA?

probably not but there are 2 renault dealers in guadalajara. the alternator and carb are off a vocho.in the car world actually something over 25 years is classified as antique. from what i've seen so far from the main renault club-they are all clasico/antiques. when i was looking for one there were about 60 for sale in mexico and the majority were in good condition. the most expensive were in mercado libre. i think they've become very popular because they resemble the mini and the fiat 500.
