Gawd. 14 barking dogs in a one-car cochera? And two across the street on the roof, "doing their job"? No wonder you're hasta la madre. You have my profound sympathy. And I love dogs, but…some of the owners, not so much. But that topic is probably a different thread, really, and one that I'm sure would generate a lot of discussion. I even have a small situation with a neighbor's barker, but it's so minor compared to yours it's not even worth mentioning.

So, returning to the topic of this thread…

Those people who "rent" an animal for "the season" and then dump them are truly scum. I hope writing the "Open Letter" helps. Maybe it will give a few pause, but it's difficult to imagine anyone so heartless as to dump an animal will be moved by it. I hope so though, for the sake of the animals and the local volunteers who work so hard to improve the situation at the various animal charities.

I had a similar situation next door, 14 cats and 2 dogs, and when we finally got her out guess what she did? She left half of them behind in the street.
