I stayed there about eight years ago, rustic but nice, the owner was an interesting guy,it's a pretty lake,I don't know about the fishing, but try the local specialty (chicharron de pescado).

We stayed there last year. The cabins and rooms are indeed "rustic". The pictures of the place must have been taken 20 years ago. I probably wouldn't stay there again however it is the cheapest rentals in the area. As far as the fishing goes, the water is very clear and you can see plenty of fish but we didn't catch any. I believe they are bass and tilapia.

Stayed there about 8 years ago too. Nice rustic place, clean lake good for swimming, good restaurants good food, thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe the area has been gentrified a bit since then.

I've stayed there and thouroghly enjoyed it too. The cabins were old but clean and comfy. There are fish in the lake...Bass maybe? We caught a tiny one off the dock, must be bigger ones in there somewhere. It would be pretty cool there this time of year. Weekends are rowdy in the summer.
