James Bond in Mexico

According to an article in The Guardian, Mexican officials offered Sony Pictures twenty million dollars to change the script and casting in the new Bond film to show Mexico in a better light,among the requests was that there be a Mexican Bond Girl and a non-Mexican villain.

Maybe they should spend that 20 million on law enforcement so movie companies won't feel inclined to use Mexico and Mexicans as the villains.......just saying.

yea but it is so typical of today and not just Mexico.  Just buy your way out and not deal with the problem.

Apparently the flic will be filmed in Mexico City. The Mx gov't will be providing incentives, aka $$$, and the female lead femme fatale will be Mx. All good.

I suppose Mexico trying to change its image with money and PR is no worse than the media NOB lying or at least being ignorant about Mexico.
