Go, le Club
Finally had dinner at Go, Le Club, in Ajijic, last night with friends. Can anyone enlighten me on the history behind this place? It has a lot of promise, obviously the chef is a talented guy, but something is just not right. Bonnie reviewed the restaurant [url=www.lakechapalarestaurantguide.blogspot.com] and agrees with me that it is a nice environment, great view, but the food is not as good as you would expect, considering the training and experience of the chef. For instance, we were brought a basket with store bought crackers, pretzels and some bread with our drink order - not what you would expect from a gourmet restaurant advertising international cuisine. So, what's up with this place?

So, the food was not what you expected and you want us to tell you why? I have to admit this is an interesting take on restaurant commentary.

Re: Go, le Club
Pedro dates back many many years with his Affordable Gourmet food of his old place. We like his new place (GO) and have had three good meals in a row. We did his Mothers recipies for Thankgiving. We did stop going there for a while a few years ago but with Pedro doing the cooking these days it is our favorite restaurant. He does have a great sense of humor and did deal my Tourettes Syndrone brother in law giving him a corner where his disability would not bother him or other folks. Not many places will do so. So we use to love him, stopped loving him as we did not care for his old cook/chef, but love him now again. He does have a very wicked sense of humor and a great sense of taste.

Had guests in town and went to Go. Had a great meal and a few good jokes. Ribeye was delicious and Mushroom soup was excellent.
