Sam's Club
Does anyone know the current fee for new or renewal of a Sam's Club membership. Checked their website, such as it is, but can't tell if the fees listed are right up to date. Someone said they had been recently raised.

What a silly thing to say. Everyone knows there are no Sam's Clubs in Lithuania...zenwoodle wrote:And in Lithuania how much would it be?

I've never been in a Sam's Club... what kind of Merchandise? Groceries? Big Box?
How would they compare with Costco? Better or Worse?
Price of Membership worthwhile?
My Costco Membership cost considerably less to renew in Mexico rather than Canada.

Stay with Costco - better merchandise and far better warranty policies!

We have belonged to both for a number of years now. We find that in Mexico Costco has by far more choice ect. However in The US we prefer Sams. The cost to join is about the same, but Costco in Mexico allows you to have 3 people on the card witch makes the Costco card less expensive.

I go to both here in the Midsouth. They're similar but each has products I can't get at the other.

There is a reason that Lakeside Express only goes to Costco. They used to go to Sam's but not enough people wanted things from there, so now they just go to Costco.

There are two, one next to Costco on the Colima hwy and at the galleria, across the street from Costco, and Costco delivers the orders to Chapala, Lakeside express. Lakeside Express provides a great service to the folks @ Lakeside....saving a two hour round trip for Us!

I had no idea Sam's was so wide spread. I had never seen one until we moved to the Mid South.

Jim....there are at least two more Sam's (in Guad.) that I know of....one on Revolución in Tlaquepaque and another on Mariano Otero, straight west of Office Depot on Lopez Mateos. As far as I know, Costco only has the two stores you mentioned.
Overall, I think Sam's is more conveniently located in more different cities in Mexico than Costco. Without looking it up, I would guess that there are twice as many Sam's as there are Costco stores.

Help me out here. What's the "Mid South". I've never heard that term before. Is that like "Beverly Hills Adjacent"?

To answer your que, I opened a new membership on Friday and for two of us it was $550 Pesos.
And Costco is better re quality. There are items at Sam's that I like and my friend and I share both memberships. I have also found that Sam's do not look at the pic on the membership card so it is easy to borrow someone else's card for a day trip.

David, I thought Sam's was Sam's...membership needed to make purchases. Walmart...no card needed.
Same parent company, but different modus operandi.
Also the parent includes Aurrera, Bodega, Suburbia, Vips, among their satellites ?

That was a typo. It was $450 Pesos. It was too early for my brain after the Costco wine

Not parent, owner. You left out SupeRama. Pls note that you'll find Bodega Aurrera and Superama products at Walmart, and vice versa.
