Naturalization
Has anyone taken the 100 question test as part of the naturalization process? Someone told me they may only ask 5 questions of the 100, I'm curious as to what the process is like and how long it takes from start to finish? We aren't retired so we have to take a test and we're already studying from what we've found available online. This coming from someone who isn't really patient, I'm sure we'll go into the office in Guadalajara sometime this week to get all of the details ourselves but I wouldn't mind reading about someone else's more recent experience.

Re: Naturalization
Two excellent resources would be Spencer and Marianne Carlson (they're both listed). Marianne I believe just finished the naturalization process and Spencer deals with this kind of stuff all the time. With your command of the Spanish language I think you will breeze the test. Good luck!

Re: Naturalization
apparently, there aren't very many people around here who have been naturalized in the past year and apparently, they don't post on any of the local Chapala forums. hehe Anyway, I'm excited.

Re: Naturalization
May be due to the fact that many are over 60 and people over 60 do not need to take the test.

Re: Naturalization
That's what I meant to say, regarding the age. I found hounddog's story on another forum, of course that doesn't help because he didn't have to take the test....but another forum, they said it was a 15 question multiple choice test. I've got time to memorize everything and if that's the case fine but it'd be nice to know if it was just multiple choice...too bad my other half didn't bother to ask for me...but, he did find out it'd only take 3 months.

Re: Naturalization
yup, have that. Quizlet has a great app for this test with flash cards and it keeps track of the questions you still need to work on for re quizzing. I just want to know if I need to memorize the spelling of some of the weird names and wording.
