3 Kings Day
January 6 is Three Kings Day and the festivities include Bouncy Rides for kids, Pinatas and candy, pozole, music and ponche at the Ajijic Plaza at 6 p.m.
We've asked for donations of candy and pinatas to be delivered to the Manix restaurant.
The donations have been very slow. Can you help out?

The 4 year old wanted one in her piece and her mom thought ahead ..... bringing one from last year to sneak in. I doubt the 4 year old will buy tamales

Not only did I forget by don't expect anything. At least they should know their supplier is sloppy
Re: 3 Kings Day
You missed my point, I think. Maybe it did have one. They are small and easily swallowed.

RV, start a new thread and tell us how things are in Tucson! As you know, Tucson may be in my future!

Re: 3 Kings Day
There was not a king in sight, nor roscas either. However, we did just come from La Salsa, a Mexican restaurant that was almost Mexican and the salsa was actually very good. Other than that, it is pretty boring, compared to Chapala; even though I don‘t get out much. Louise is happy with one friend locally, gym membership via Medicare, etc. Just finding people to meet is difficult, but you will find it easier with family connections, etc. I will have to wait awhile before I might have enough of interest to make a good comparison, beyone ‘the streets are better‘.

Re: 3 Kings Day
RV, the streets in Tucson are deadly to walkers! No one walks in Tucson, no one takes a bus, it is a car culture. I remember crossing 5 lanes of traffic at a VERY brisk walk to reach the yonder shore of the plaza across the street from my hotel (5 lanes). On the other hand, cruising out to the far north hills is fun as long as you do not hyperventilate about the curves! Vroom! I once took a wrong turn in a rental Camero and ended up on those curves. But the rest of the guys coming around those curves were much impressed! Me, I was darned glad to get back to my motel!

Re: 3 Kings Day
True & the city now claims that they will be installing more of those special red light pedestrian crossings; the ones where some of the cars actually stop......
If I had to cross five lanes on foot, I would have to rest in the middle.
