Just returned- Muddy, slow fishing, & hot. Used a lot of gas & few "rod shakers"

Sounds like the same experience we had there a few weeks ago although it was overcast so not too hot. The last three times I have been there (Sept., June & March) the fishing has been much slower than what we expected from past years. Perhaps the lake is being overfished with all those damn nets. I am going to check it out again in December so we'll see.

My Mexican wife fishes with me, and while we were the locals
told her that the fishing was very slow, and they expected to
improve in a month......

Bob, muddy water isn't a problem......I caught 23 in one spot last trip. There is an issue with the bass, but it is not the nets. The bass are bottom feeders, the nets are approx 4 ft. surface catch. I know it is not overfished.
Sadly this fishery is in trouble......We used to catch over a 100 per day......many in the 5 pound class. Now a good day for most is 10-15, unless they are using perfectly balanced ultra light gear......sorry for crackin ma self up!
