Shipping a Bicycle

Hi All:
So nice to be part of a forum that helps people! I will be coming to Ajijic in January for a few months. I have an electric bike that I would like to ship so it will be there to use when I arrive. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to make that happen?

If you are flying here, check it in as extra baggage. I brought down a satellite dish on the plane and it was an extra $75USD. It won't get any cheaper than that.

If the bike arrives with you, there will be no import duty. If you ship it, you will have to a pay a duty in addition to the shipping costs.

Good tip-so I will bring it on the plane or in the back of the Toyota-however I decide. Most helpful! Thanks, Diane
