Yeah, I'm sure there was no flooding what so ever in Crapala.........jaja.
Re: Any information regarding storm 07/10
There was no surprise in the ever-juvenile Pedro turning a discussion about the weather into a jibe at Ajijic.
I am surprised and disappointed that CBob responded by insulting the entire city of Chapala. Cheap shot.

The locals sometimes call it Chupala. Of course, this could be interpreted as good or bad, depending on the usage.

Thanks for posting the video Alex. It was definitely Colon, mid-block. Maria Di Paola Blum, a photographer who has a shop there, shot it from the door of her store. That was a big dump of rain!

How industrious are the dogs in Ajijic. After any big storm that sends water gushing down the streets, by the next day the dogs have made sure to replace every pile of dog-shit that was washed away.

Wow!
It really was a wild storm here. Blew under doors, through windows. Seemed to come out of nowhere, it appear to build and burst right over top of us and then move to the east.
Great picture Pedro.

What would be fun is to get a kayak and do some "street rafting" down Colon during the next big one......
Re: Any information regarding storm 07/10
Fortunately, the storm didn't hit the Racquet Club as it did back In 07? Watching their homes wash away. I believe San Juan Cosala got hammered that year.

Here's a video showing the aftermath of the waterspout that dumped on San Juan Cosala in 2007...
And here's a video of a waterspout headed across the lake toward Ajijic in 2010...

Re: Any information regarding storm 07/10
it was not a waterspout in 2007. the science people at the time determined it wasn't and you may find their true findings on google no doubt.
the local people around here refer to a heavy downpour and a waterspout as a tromba-hence the confusion. it hit the mountain just above the raquet[sic] club and was quite intense.i was in san juan cosala the day after the hit.
