An early rainy season will be great for the lake if it still extends into October.

We may get a rainy season, the rainy season started early in Chiapas. like the last week of April when it usually starts mid May so maybe we will have it early here but ut usually rains in the evening or at night with thunderstorms and we are not having that yet so it may just be a front from the Pacific as they bring rains during the day

That big red blob veered away from Jalisco and came inland way south .... like mostly Michoacan. We have sunny skies

unfortunately any rain for the next two years wont make any difference to the lake. as reported in informador a few weeks ago they are going to reduce the current capacity by 20% for cleaning the lake , supposedly !!

If we get a good rainy season and force the upstream dams to open (like last September) they won't be able to control a darn thing without causing major flooding upstream........so for them to say "we are going to reduce the capacity 20%" is a bit misleading.

I don't know what a well developed El Nino will do for the rains in Mexico but our weathermen are jumping for joy with their expectation that we will get double our average amount of rain during our so-called "monsoon season" (June - August). Right now we are sitting at about 20% for the first four months of the year.

I believe the planet is headed towards another cyclical ice age. They occur every 100,000 years or so. I think the next one is already overdue. Perhaps slowed down by us human's greenhouse emissions? Regardless, it is coming anyways whether it is in 100 years or a 1000 years. The build up will be colder weather every year. It will be really cold in Canada and the northern US states. Mexico will become like Canada is today.....jajaja.

If the weather keeps improving at Lake side, you can look forward to growing "Brandy Wine" tomatoes. Eh

I've lived in B.C. for 48 years and never had to shovel a driveway.
