Works fine. Used it in Belize. A bit on the repetitious side so you need to change stations. You will need a relatives Address in US or Canada to make it easy. I have Sirius here if you want to spin the dial and listen. PM me. Nice thing about XM/Sirius is it works in your car and that is nice in Mexico. Most folks do tend to listen to just a few stations so if it is classic jazz you will get tired of the playlist over a period of days as it is a bit commercial and the non internet over sat version is a little bit down sound wise from compression problems BUT it is pretty good in a car and nice to get BBC news or Radio classics while traveling. I give it 4 out of 5 stars. Would give it 5 if they had a larger playlist and would up the bandwidth a little bit. You can hear the compression on a piano piece sometimes. The higher bandwidth over internet solves that.

Funny how XM works.......great to Manzanillo, PV and Tepic. Made the trip to Morelia......NADA. Works great from Lakeside to Laredo and Nogales. The reception on older installs.....2001 don't work as well as the newer installs, my experience 2011 Escape is superior, probably due to improved coax and antennae.

I use my XM radio in my house with the outdoor antenna pointed upward at about 60 degrees elevation and pointed in a southerly direction with an extended line reaching through the wall and then another 10 feet to my bed . I get great reception. I could use it in the car, but don't

I subscribed from a US address maybe 8 years ago and my bills are paid via a US credit card registered at a bank in my home town

Yep but it doesn't work in the boondocks in your car. That's the major advantage and why I keep it over an internet solution.
