Using Instagram and Jetpac to review more than 150 million images for people with smiles on their faces, they have come up with a list of the world's happiest countries.  Brazil was #1 followed by Nicaragua, Colombia, Bolivia, Costa Rica, Honduras, Venezuela, the Philippines, Guatemala, Mexico.

Funny,todays CNN travel has it's own list of the 10 happiest countries and with the exception of Australia they're all in cold climates.Bolivia,Honduras,Guatemala ,Nicaragua etc.happiest countries in the wolrd??These lists are a joke.

Better read the OP again, amigo.  These countries had the most SMILES.  That doesn't mean they're happy.
The happiest countries are in places where the population has the least basic problems to worry about, even if it is cold.
May I say "democratic socialism" without receiving rocks in reply?

You'll get no rocks thrown from me for bringing up the democratic socialism aspect.

The academics who came up with the report mentioned on CNN had to justify their findings with a 150+ page document.

There are a lot of countries where it is illegal to smile. In Canada, all photographs for driver's license and passport must be a neutral expression.

You're quite right. Their error was in making the assumption that the most smiles equal the most happiness, when that ain't necessarily so.

Still with the tires - they were V rated Toyos, rated up to 149 m.p.h., special compound and pattern for wet pavement. Of course the tire shop is going to be fussy. You are wrong on this photo thing too - when was the last time you renewed a Canadian passport? It is not strictly illegal - but they will not accept them.
