Flat Tire Robbers

"Our friends just called and asked that I put this on the webboard for them. Around 2:00 p.m. today they had gone into Bancomer across from the Ajijic Plaza and withdrawn money to legalize their car and pay for solar panels for their home ... so, quite a bit of money. They had just turned up the street going North in front of the Church when their tire went flat. When he got out to see what the problem was, two young men approached and asked if they could help ... they just happened to have a can of that tire repair stuff that you spray inside. Our friend was very thankful to have help. One of the young men told him it would be better if his wife were to get out of the car while the fix it spray was being put in the tire. Then he told our friend to hold the can for a minute. The two young men then ran to a white compact car (maybe a Honda but our friend was not sure) jumped in and took off .... with the wife's purse that had all the money they had withdrawn from the bank along with her credit cards, driver's license, etc., etc. The tire repairman found some sort of sharp object that the young men had inserted into the tire and told our friend that theirs was the 3rd car that he knew of that had fallen for this scam in recent days. Yes, they are making all the reports with the proper authorities and they do have the can with finger prints from the young man that handed it to them and they are supposed to take it to Chapala tomorrow."
