Has anyone filed a consumer complaint with Profeco? What were your results?

They are getting pickier on certain items and others they have these campaigns, i.e. bottle service at night clubs, etc.

We filed against UPS. They stole 2000 dollars from an artisan package, they offered him 1000 pesos, the PROFECO lawyers told us they could not fine UPS because they had offered something but that we should take them to civil court.
A similar thing just happened to another artisans, they sent her 142 pesos for 9000 dollars worth of damage, this time no Profeco , we are checking with a lawyer to see what can be done. UPS told the artisans they would receive 100 dollars per box damaged (6 were damaged out of 9 sent) Now the 100 dollars is per shipement and they sent 142 pesos as they were 9 boxex in the shipment and they "thought" after they got photos and claims that only one box was damaged..This time we are not even bothering with Profeco.

It really depends on what your claim is.. you have better luck if it involves weight and measures ...

I purchase Volaris Airlines on time guarantee every flight I take with them. 2 recent flight were landed well after the 30 minute guarantee. I have been trying to get my vouchers but they keep giving me the runaround.

I have my reservation numbers, boarding passes, all my email back and forth and I documented phone conversations.

Would this be something to file with Profeco? Or would I be wasting time?

Can you prove that the two flights landed more than 30 minutes after the time they guarantee?
Profeco is simple you have to have well documented proofs otherwise you are waisting your time.

Email
Not sure if they are now accepted . When I went to Profeco fo rhte first time 6 years ago they were not accepted in court and by Profeco, I do not know what the rule is now.
How did you document your phone conversations?

I would not spend a lot of energy on this deal, you are better off flying without any insurrance, guaranties etc..at least you do not expect anything and do not get anything.

I had the same problem with Dominos once with their 30 minute guarantee, but decided not to pursue it.

There is no dispute that the flight were late. Volaris has those records and I have my boarding passes. I kept a record of each and every time I called, who I talked to, what they said or how long I was on hold and if I got disconnected. I also have all my emails.

When I get home later this week I am going to file a complaint.

Yes Volaris knows but you have to present proofs when you go to Profeco so do you have the flight records or something in writing from Volaris saying they were late?
You have to have everything in writing when you go to Profeco, your saying so even in writing,,does not work neither did e-mails in the past (3 years ago), I do not know now.
You can always try it and if Profeco takes your case they will ask the airlines lawyers to confirm the flight was late...it should be interesting..please let us know how it works for you if you go to Profeco, we can always learn from your experience.
This time I have another claim agianst UPS and it is going straight to civil court , I know the outcome with Profeco and it is not worth my time.

You purchase the on time guarantee in the hope that your flight will be 30 minutes or more late,in other words you're betting 5 or 10 dollars against a free voucher for your next flight,I can picture you back there in seat 23-D,glancing at your watch and praying for a strong head wind or anything else that might delay the flight's arrival time in order to win your free voucher. You certainly do try to play all the angles, playaboy.
Good luck with Profeco.

Well, they don't have casinos on the plane...so it's the next best thing.

Maybe it should be reported to the "Gaming Commission", if there such a thing.   lol!

I thought I would give it one more try with Volaris before I went to Profeco. I HATE dealing with government bureaucrats, both north and south of the border.

Late last week, I sent them another email including everything I was going to take to Profeco.  This included scans of my boarding passes, all the emails I sent to Volaris and their responses to me indicating they owed me vouchers . I also included my log of my phone conversations listing who I talked to, how long I was on hold, and the times I got disconnected.

I received a phone call from Volaris customer rep on Saturday.  She apologized for the company lapses and gave me both voucher numbers for my $200.

Now I don't need to go to Profeco.  Case closed.

The threat of Profeco sometimes does the trick.

I don't think it was the threat of filing a complaint.  The rep explained that Volaris just changed their computer system and I was one of about 20 people that fell into the abyss.  My case, along with the others, was a topic of conversation during staff meetings over the last month.

I fly Volaris 2-4 times a month and will continue to do so.
