Ios 7.0.3 has ruined my ipad!
I just did the update a few days ago. Now my ipad is much faster...when it isn't lagging, freezing or crashing. I can't use utube at all. It just crashes as soon as I get there.
I used to love my ipad, now it sucks. And there is no going back to the old version, right? Why did they do this?

Because this update is for lots of different hardware. Some works better with the upgrade than others. It happens. We Microsoft people have a saying. Don't upgrade until they come out with Service pac 1. I wish I had wisdom for you. Hopefully some apple head will be able to help you.
How about what model Ipad you have it would help folks as there may be differences between models.

It's an ipad 2 and it was my friend, now I hate it.
Apple says it is coming out with a new update soon because this one was such a disaster. This I found out after the fact.

I hate mine now also.
Remember how you hit the home button twice and could close programs or apps running in the background? It doesn't work anymore. Anyone know how to do this without powering off then on again? Not even sure if that works.
There must be a way to undo the update, no?

Friend of mine updated her iPhone. After that it performed perfectly-- except it no longer functioned as a phone! After techs here could do nothing she had to take it to Guadalajara. They kept it for several days then said Apple would have to replace the phone! She was without a phone for several weeks before this was worked out.

Just upgraded my Iphone and it deleted all my personal info, videos and music. Phone works. Luckily I had videos and music on PC and uploaded them again

Please put everything on hold while I run out and load up on Apple products so I can join in the misery!

On iOS 7, when you double click home to show the running programs there is now a little thumbnail of each window above the icon. Put your finger on the thumbnail and slide it up and off the top of the screen. Pfft, it isn't running anymore!Grizzy wrote:

Thank you Apple people. I very much appreciate your contributions to this forum as I and others have zero Apple skills.

You can not undo an update . Updates are forever.

Yes that was a great tip, after I read that I spent the next 10 minutes closing windows. So that was what was sucking the life out of my battery?

Yes, that will help your battery drain. Google "ios 7 battery saving tips" and you will get links to several good articles about how to improve battery life. Multitasking (programs running in the background) was improved in iOS 7, but guess what, more programs running means more battery drain. Here's and excerpt from one article. You'll find other battery saving tips as well.Ms.Thang wrote:Yes that was a great tip, after I read that I spent the next 10 minutes closing windows. "The battery-draining culprit that perhaps bears the most responsibility is a new feature called Background App Refresh, whose default is set to "on" in iOS 7. It lets apps run in the background while you multitask and continually refreshes content when running on Wi-Fi or a cellular network. To disable this feature, visit Settings > General > Background App Refresh. Here, you can turn off the entire function or just disable that apps you don't need to refresh on an automatic basis."
